It’s about two weeks until the 1rd ever Autopian track day at Lime Rock Park and, I can’t believe it, but we’ve already sold out the event (for cars). While I’d love to add more vehicles, between staff, a few exciting guests, and members, we’re getting very close to a number that would mean fewer laps for everyone. Rather than do that, we’ve brought on two extra instructors and capped the number of cars. That being said, spectator/lunch passes are still available for a few more days. We also need to talk about the bonkers car collection we’ve got.
As I mentioned in my last update, this is a helmets-optional event with instructors on site to help keep the flow of the day safe and fun, as well as make it possible to support more cars. If you’re signed up as a driver, look for an email to come next week with all of the information you might need (we have your sandwich order, which is the most important information).
If you want to come as a spectator, we’re going to make it a ton of fun. Think of this as a car show and a lunch, with a skidpad connected to it. It’s like a Cars & Coffee without the threat of being mowed down by a Hellcat Charger. Or at least a lower threat. I haven’t seen anyone say they’re bringing one yet. Since you have to sign a waiver when you enter, it’s possible you might also be able to get some laps in the 2CV.
Oh, the cars! If you come to spectate and hang out with us, you’re going to see some great cars. Here’s a weird fact: There are no Miatas signed up yet. We have four Mazdas on the list–including a Kei truck or van–and no Miata. We also have a ton of Porsche Boxsters and various 911s. We’re also going to have a very famous 911. Did I mention a Caprice PPV and a Pontiac Vibe are on the list? Someone famous may be bringing his Renault 4 if the weather is good. It’ll be truly chaotic.
It’ll also be a great time; the food is good (a Spectator pass mostly pays for lunch), and we’re going to have a lot of fun surprise awards. If you can’t make it out as a driver, definitely consider coming as a spectator. The window for that closes next Monday so we can have catering ready. Here’s the link again:
Lunch/Spectator Ticket -$60
This ticket gets you access to Lime Rock Park, a lunch (sandwich, chips, drink, cookie) with the Autopian Staff, and a chance to laugh at Jason. If multiple people are sharing a car, just have one of you sign up for a car ticket, and the rest can get a spectator ticket. It’s the same price for any kind of member. What/Where Is This?

What: A reader meetup/autocross-style track day and lunch. If you don’t want to drive, you can totally just come have lunch and hang out. This isn’t about shaving 0.0001 off your time; this is just about driving spiritedly on a non-public road. Bring your minivan! It’s about fun, not fast.
Where: Lime Rock Park is located about two hours north of New York City where the borders of Massachusetts, New York, and Connecticut meet. Inside the track is the FCP Euro Proving Grounds, a narrow and twisty autocross course that’s been recently reconditioned and features a large skidpad. The facility also has a chalet, which is where we’ll be meeting and having lunch at 12:00 PM.
The address is:Â Lime Rock Park, 60 White Hollow Rd, Lakeville, CT 06039.
Who: The Autopian Staff, you, some cool special guests like Parker and The Drive’s Andrew Collins.
When:Â June 30th from noon to 5 pm.
Why:Â Why not?

Oh no! I was really hoping to do this, I guess if I snooze I lose. Just started a new job, and I had just about convinced myself that I could sneak in a weekday off. Any chance of a wait list? One more Mazda for the track, but it’s a 3, not a Miata.
Congrats, this will be fun!
