If you love a good airship, I have great news for you. In recent times, there have been at least seven airships buzzing around America, and about half of them are real cool blimps! Three of them are Goodyear’s iconic airships, two of them are advertising blimps, and then there are two extras being flown by a startup with big dreams.
Now, the logical reason for this is that there’s a lot of advertising going on, and startups that think the future of aviation is airships. But I have a way more fun answer from COTD winner SlowCarFast:
I hear that there used to be fewer blimps needed to cover events, but inflation is real.

Brian wrote about the new Hyundai Crater concept, which continues the trend of cars devoid of curves. Jb996:
Ah yes kids, let me tell you about the great polygon shortage of the 2020s.
Due to environmental restrictions on polygon manufacturing, and restricted exports from China, the cost of polygon’s skyrocketed. In an effort to stabilize cost, automakers rationed their designers to use as low of a polygon count as possible, leading to what is known as the “8-bit era”.

David wrote about how the VW Bus that survived the LA fires got restored. 5VZ-F’Ever and Ever, Amen got a chuckle out of me:
DT – you should add a trigger warning about that gory melted lens pic before Torch sees it…
We finish at the Morning Dump, where Matt Hardigree took care in reporting about Akio Toyoda donning some bright red gear. I wanted to highlight this kind message from Pupmeow:
I am grateful for the thoughtful approach to subject matter and comment moderation. I’ve been getting more into automotive news in the past year mostly as a way to avoid The News. I will never be a “stick to cars” person, and I appreciate that politics are intertwined with every part of our lives, including our cars and roads. But generally speaking, this site is pleasant, which is a rarity on the internet these days.
Some of you wonder how I am able to write endless stories about fun trains, motorcycles, trucks, and old cars. Honestly? It’s a great escape! I’d rather scroll through the Internet Archive learning about some weird semi-tractor than scroll through the news.
Have a great evening, everyone!

There is never more proof men are in charge then the need to release an oblong shape artificially increased in size by air
Please continue with your historical dives, Mercedes.
I prefer scrolling through Autopian than The News…
I’d like to thank the committee.
What Pupmeow said. Pleasant is rare, and I appreciate it.
I thought we were seeing more blimps in America due to our awful super processed unhealthy food supply, and the fact that every drive through offers a supersize of everything. Am I wrong?
The Sceye high altitude drone blimp should be flying too:

It is very strange that today is blimp content day.
I woke up early this morning, went to the bathroom and went back to bed. While I was sleeping I had a dream about blimps crashing.
For some reason I was at my parents’ house and hid under the deck. It had to be more than one blimp because I saw the first blimp losing altitude and not flying level. It crashed and I saw a huge ball of flames. I know there was at least one other blimp because it hit on the down-hill side of the house.
Around my parents’ house, it would have been the Hood blimp. But in my dream the blimp was silver, not white. Everyone knows the Hood blimp is white.
Oh the humanity!
I was thinking that in my dream.
It was a silver blimp, but it was not on fire before it crashed.
Maybe it was just a barrage kite balloon:

That wasn’t a blimp. That was a thought bubble. We are all cartoons in our dreams.
(Or not. Who’s to say?)
