When we made a deal to count how many new members and member renewals/upgrades we got and then make Jason do laps of the autocross course at Lime Rock Park as part of our Member’s Only track day occurring today… we didn’t expect the number to reach 288. Alas, that’s what happened, and so now Jason is doing live stream (link here) that you can watch!
We ended up having to do the math and so it’s roughly an hour of the lower section of the FCP Euro Proving Grounds so we decided to do a livestream instead. In the future, we’ll do Discord or YouTube or something, which is better and smarter, but this is our first time and we’re learning.
Right now, member/moderator/superfriend KITT222 (Nick) is out there. Enjoy this hilarious picture from Mercedes:
We’re learning for funsies!

I freely admit to not spending a lot of time on the track, but aren’t most lap timers
(a) not pendulum-driven and (b) visible from the front seat?
That’s only because most people settle for less than the best.
Will a French car owner and operated by Torch *make it* 288 laps? STAY TUNED.
Any chance that you could turn the camera around for landscape mode? I know it’s important to see the whole clock, but I can only see half of Jason.
I said the same thing when they first started live streaming. Jason said he can’t because he zip tied his phone to the rearview mirror

BOOOOOO!!!!!!!
User agent switchers are available for good browsers to pretend to be bad ones…
I’ve used those in the past but always booo every time FF gets slighted.
I think the last few track days I did, each session got me about 10-12 laps? Which was enough to start getting the brakes too hot (with aftermarket pads and fluid) as well as the tires. Obviously he isn’t pushing the 2CV at 10/10ths for 288 laps, which begs the question – will there just be a 2CV out all day on the track moving at the speed of a riding mower while everyone else is going out?
Torch is carrying on conversation and managing 33 seconds per lap, although the newly installed grandfather clock may slow him down. The 2CV is handling it just fine.
He said he’s not even using the brakes.
Look at the body roll! Glad to see Torch isn’t just limping around the track.
Thanks but not a fan of having to download yet another app ( what is Riverside? ) just to view. Can’t you just go live on YouTube or something? Thanks .
Maybe Jason can use his onlyFans account 😉
Wouldnt Jason be on OnlyFanbelts? /s
COTD
I didn’t have to download anything. Opened up in a new browser window.
iPad went right to download app. I’ll try a pc
PC + Chrome works fine. No app needed.
Thanks
Then we’d all get stuck scrolling over 5,000 posts about tail lights
