We’re huge fans of modern-vintage car toymaker Candylab Toys, and not just because Jason helped design one of the company’s products. It’s a team of people who love cars and have exquisite taste, which is to say taste kind of like our own. Even better, they’re having an event this Thursday outside their offices in New York City and they wanted to invite some Autopians over to enjoy it with them. It seems like such a good time that even I am willing to wander into the city on a Thursday.
Candylab Toys is calling it “CARS AND COCKTAILS” and they’ll have both a wooden track below, as well as some appetizers and cocktails. As they like to say: It’s the only race you can win with no driver’s license – nor skills.
Despite there being toys around, it’s more of an adult event, so if you’re interested in this particular outing it’s not envisioned for children. They do plenty of events with kids, though, and maybe we should try and organize one of those. If you’re around the city on Thursday or, you know, just nearby, consider dropping in and saying hello.
