Man, I’ve been around the block and I had never heard of the Supercharger. Growing up, we had an Atari 800 computer rather than a 2600 and it played a pretty good game of Frogger. I gotta say, in some ways the Supercharger version is more visually appealing. The 8, 16, and even 32-bit eras were interesting times, when arcades mattered and a lot of us were chasing the “arcade-perfect” high. I lived through it and remember the frustration of a less than compelling home port of an arcade hit. Or the sometimes significant changes between platform versions, when consoles had differing architectures rather than essentially just differing business strategies. Looking back, I’m nostalgic for those differences.
Torch, I REALLY hope you find time to share more of your basement crap with us! This was a fun ride, one I want to take again.
