Jason Has A ‘Router’ That We Want Him To Test With A Hot Dog

Tfts Hot Dog Router

If you’re not seeing this, it’s probably for the better. This is a deeply, deeply weird article about a cigarette lighter-powered…uhhh. I can’t get into it. Become a member to read this content, but do so at YOUR OWN RISK.

There has to be a “for off-road use only” disclaimer on the box somewhere. I feel like if you actually used it you’d get arrested eventually…

“Off road use” sounds like made for trails. Could be dangerous.

It seems like this would antithetical to “Slack”

Somehow the funniest part of this, is it really does look like an old router.

I’m hard pressed thinking how this might give rise to member content…it stiffens my desire for for an outcome.

I’m confused.
They market it specifically to Tesla drivers.
I thought the whole idea of driving hands off the steering wheel was to free up your hands for other activities.
Isn’t this redundant ?
Asking for a friend 🙂

Happy to report that the Ferrari shooting brake that’s been parked on the street is back. The bronze 458 cabriolet that replaced it must have been a service loaner.

I’m still checking the local dealership for the appearance of the Luce.

Wouldn’t a “sex router” be for those who have difficulty finding the…um…target?

I don’t think the fact that the photo on the box looks SO much like a router is mere coincidence. I suspect it’s the equivalent of arriving in a plain brown wrapper.

Someone should anonymously ship it to Patrick George

All that and no jabs about “interchangeable sleeve” sizes? Do better.

I’m reading this after barely having any sleep over the past 24 hours or so. I feel like I’m in some surreal other-wordly space.

What on earth is happening.

Oh. I thought this was going to be about a computer networking device.

I really thought this was about some other kind of accessory and they were joking about it being a blowjob machine, right up until Jason shared the picture of the sex router.

That was a shock when I got down to that far into the article and the only computers stuf USB-C ports. Almost like reverse clip bait for IT nerds, which I was for a while but only when stuff that I was putting in should be working but wasn’t.

Brief stints working with Canadian and British colleagues who pronounce it “rooter” vs the usual US pronunciation of “rowhter..” They have a point. It was “root” not “rowht” 66 back before the interstate system. Probably some Commonwealth slang ignorance/miscommunication on my part.

And then there’s a router that can carve into wood, plastic and metal.

I really have no interest in sticking my membership into Jason’s toy or any other device powered with a wall plug.

This would’ve been the perfect White Elephant gift for the Member Track Day.

Or it could’ve monetized the 2CV livestream!

This whole situation is beyond the pale. I thought Autopian was more conscientious, more thoughtful than this.

I mean you couldn’t even recommend Hebrew National? Honestly.

The Automoblow advertising that it can be used by the driver OR the front seat passenger just broke me. I don’t even let people EAT in my car.

Thankfully it didn’t say “can be used by the driver AND the front seat passenger”

Ew.

Pretty sure I’ve connected these kinds of devices several times in the comments to the kind of people who embrace self-driving cars and here is an actual specific in-car product aimed at self-driving car fans. I hate being right so often.

I’ve pretty much always had the opinion that I don’t want a self driving car unless it can legally drive me someplace while I take a nap, but you’ve turned me around as far as their usefulness. Combine this with the in-car-toilets Jason also reported about and now you can enjoy both “the morning dump” and “the morning grind” all from the comfort and not-privacy of your car.

Is this a reference to the classic Lazyboy Extreme?
Adding to the luxe versions of Lazyboy with the beer fridge and microwave, the niche Lazy Bastard added a commode hidden under a side table.
Reputedly especially popular with gamers and football fans.

In between this and the hand crank start comments in Jason’s Cold Start and the poor paying for parking QR code, quite the bevy of double entendres today! Very good for some TGIF chuckles.
