So That’s How Jeep Designed The Gladiator: COTD

Joopcomment

If you’re looking for a pickup truck and an open-air experience at the same time, you have only one choice: the Jeep Gladiator. It’s a Jeep, but with a bed and a decent tow rating! But wait, how were these designed, again?

Matt wrote a Morning Dump that had a story about how Ram beat Jeep in sales for the first time. Arch Duke Maxyenko:

Vidframe Min Top
Vidframe Min Bottom

The lead image, is that how Gladiators are made?

Speaking about Jeeps, Matt wrote about a Recon’s range test. Grayvee280:

Little known fact: During the week they did R&D on this thing, Recon was short for hurry up and Reconnect it to the charger!

Beasy Mist takes a swipe at Stellantis:

“All-electric Stellantis product”

Guys I know it’s spooky season but damn.

I_drive_a_truck has great context:

Just doing the math, the R2 tested at 78% of the EPA rating and the Recon tested at 72%. That doesn’t seem like a spectacular fail, just an expected one. The max range figure is a failure, sure, but also obviously lower than other competitors. In short, none of this is a surprise if you think about it for 2 seconds based on already public info on the Recon.

Data:

General: Soldier, give me the Recon report.
Soldier: It’s a big bucket of fail sir.
General: Keep it under your hat, we’ll blame Carlos Tavares. (not pictured)

Jason wrote about the shifter in the Mitsubishi 500. Stryker_T:

“PUT IT IN ‘H’!!”

Finally, Mark wrote a showdown between a 1942 Packard Clipper and a 2001 Nissan Maxima that were priced in the teens. V10omous:

I can already hear the howling about the prices of these two

Anyone howling about the price of the Packard is a fool.

He makes a good point! If I had $15,000, I could see myself burning it on a Packard!

Have a great weekend, everyone.
