My answer to today’s Ask is “No, I do not.” I’ve never really gone in for wallpapers and the like, though I’m not against them. I just like my screens’ default look to be some kind of blank canvas. I currently have whatever abstraction comes as default with the iMac, and when I used to be on PCs, I just replaced the provided garbage with woodgrain or some other innocuous pattern.
… but I gotta say, that synthwave Countach in the topshot is dope. Maybe I should make that my wallpaper! So rad. The design as well as the laptop vector I stuck it into are from DepositPhotos.com, many thanks to them.

My present computer wallpaper is Volkswagen’s publicity stunt to advertise the Touareg V10 TDI. My usual picks for desktop backgrounds are dream cars, dream planes, and dream bridges. In this case, I have a dream car and dream plane in the same shot! The icons on my desktop are hints to future articles that I want to write. Some are also just part numbers and notes for things I’ve fixed on my Stella, Rover, and Smarts.
My phone backgrounds tend to be pictures of my own vehicles or pictures of planes or trains that I have seen out in the wild. My lockscreen, which isn’t pictured, is always an image of my wife.
Ah yes, the Dream Bridge, a classic wallpaper choice.

Do You Have A Car As Your Computer Wallpaper Or Phone Lock Screen?
Phone is always a pic of my daughter, but work desktop background is always some kind of car. It just changed this week from the Hurst Hauler Trans Am shooting brake to that awesome teal/white Sonoma GT with magenta graphics featured here.
I used to use a modified version of the classic Windows green hill with a photoshopped Subaru Rally car tearing up the hill. I also had a couple with dream cars.
On my MacBook I have the Apple liveried 935 “built in Mountain View”racecar driven by Bob Garretson , Bobby Rahal, and Alan Moffett at Lemans in 1980. AKA the Warhorse it took Paul Newman to second in 79, and would have won if a seized wheel spline hadn’t necessitated, swapping out half the rear suspension (and the drug Smugglers driving the winning car hadn’t used nitrous oxide)
I own the offending wheel and hub which my uncle ended up with as a memento after doing the suspension swap out during the race.

Nope! Phone is a map of Middle Earth, and the laptop is one of those world map satellite photos at night, with all the lights visible from space. Cool looking and lets you learn about population patterns, I guess!
Technically I guess some of that light is from cars, but you can’t exactly make them out from space.

I don’t have anything as my wallpaper on my computer but for the screensaver I have a folder of about 500 car, truck and motorcycle pictures that cycle through.
Nope. My wallpaper and lock screen are basic black they use less battery juice that way.

My wall paper is a picture of a Porsche 963 testing at Daytona, with the outside wall lit by the head and taillight. I really wanted a Cadillac, but the lighting was just too good on this one
My desktop has Star Wars stuff. My phone cycles through photos of me & the GF, Star Wars events in costume, and one of my cars.

Yes, I do. On my computer screen he’s sprawled out on his side looking at the camera upside down with mayhem in his eyes. On my phone he’s sitting serenely looking at me like he’s about to impart the answer to the One True Question (he’s actually waiting for breakfast).

Both right now, actually. My PC has a classic 911 Targa, straight on side view. Used to have quite a few that it cycled through but I just landed on the Targa to be the permanent one.
My phone has a composite image of two ’57 Chevy Bel-Aires parked in a desert with the planet Saturn looming large in the sky. It’s all done in old-school brochure illustration style with tons of grain.
My work PC background is a parking lot full of Kaido Racers that I took a few years ago at a show in Japan.
It’s aspirational – if I work hard enough, I too can one day have a slammed Toyota Mark II with glitter paint and 8′ tall exhaust pipes
