This Sunday, October 11th, we will once again be a part of the absolutely enormous Galpin Car Show at Galpin Square in Van Nuys, California. It’ll be insane, and we want you to bring your car–whatever it is–to be feature in The Autopian section. Just fill out this form and list The Autopian as your car club.
We’re still pulling together the list of cars we’ll be bringing to show off this year, but you can be assured that it’ll include the WWII Jeep that David built with his own hands and parts from eBay Motors. Both the 787bb and the CX-90bb will also be be there.
Will we have special merch? Of course we’ll have special merch. In honor of the 787bb there will be the ideal t-shirt:
It’s the shirt that explains the joke, because explaining the joke is somehow funnier in this situation. It’ll be a part of our first-ever pop-up merch shop. If you’ve never been to the show, here’s a great primer on what to expect:
And here’s a little visual guide to show you where this is (I sleep in the back of the CX-90 when I visit, so I’m close by already):

We always have great cars in our section from readers, including some vintage hot-rods and, of course, Ford C-Maxxes. It’s very us, and very fun.
They call it ten cars shows in one because there’s a low rider hop, an area for exotics, JDM, Euro, Volkswagen, a Lincoln beer and wine jazz lounge, Porsches, the Petersen Museum VIP Charity Lounge, a kids area, and even more. It’s a really great event and a ton of fun.
The show goes from 9AM to 2PM on Sunday, October 11 (more information here). Jason and I are flying in, and David and Griffin are already there, which is extremely convenient.
Don’t be shy! Come and hang out with us.

I’ll be there with my 07 Lotus Exige S! They asked if I could arrive early and put it in some special curated area of the show. I won’t be able to bring my car over to the Autopian section. But I will stop by!
Hey man! Do you have a preference for where you’re at? I can switch you over to our lot if you want
Once again will sadly have to miss this one, but for good reason – racing The Homer at Laguna Seca for the last time.
I, too, hope to be racing at Laguna Seca. As of Sunday afternoon everything was on schedule-ish. At least I’ve got the new numbers painted on the car:

Thanks for the reminder, I need to bring your DAF 66 article!
